Privacy Policy

  • We don't sell your data. Period.
  • You control your circle. We only access the contacts and photos you specifically choose.
  • No passwords, no financial info. We use phone-based login (no passwords to leak) and we don't handle your credit card or other financial info.
  • Your content is for your groups. Your polls and photos are visible only to the people you invite.

1. Introduction

We are Chuuzer, LLC, a Massachusetts, U.S.A. based company. Our mission is to help you make decisions by engaging your trusted circle. This policy explains how we handle your information. When you use Chuuzer, you agree to these practices.

2. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

To get you started, we collect your phone number (for verification via Twilio), your first and last name, and a chosen display name, if different from your first and last name. We don’t use passwords; we use one-time codes sent to your phone.

b. User Content

You provide the content that makes the app work:

  • •Polls: Questions, titles, captions, and the votes/comments you or your friends leave.
  • •Photos: We only access photos you specifically select to upload for a poll.
  • •Contacts: You choose which personal contacts you want to invite to a group. We do not access any of your contacts or address book without your permission.

c. Usage & Technical Data

To keep Chuuzer running smoothly, we collect:

  • •Analytics: How many polls you create and how you interact with the app (via Google Analytics).
  • •Device Info: Your OS version, device type, and app version to help us remedy bugs.
  • •Push Tokens: To send you notifications when someone votes or comments (via Firebase).

Contacts

You may choose to provide us with your friends’ contact information as stored on your phone. We ask your permission before getting access to your contacts. If you grant us permission to access information about your contacts we can notify you if any of your contacts are on Chuuzer. We may also notify your contacts on Chuuzer that you have joined. We do not invite anyone in your contacts to join Chuuzer without your permission.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • •Verify your identity and keep your account secure.
  • •Host your polls and deliver them to your selected groups.
  • •Send SMS invites to non-users you want to include (via Twilio).
  • •Improve the app based on how people are using it.

4. What We NEVER Collect

We have no interest in your “digital footprint” outside of Chuuzer. We do not collect:

  • •Location data
  • •Browsing history
  • •Credit card or payment information
  • •Passwords

5. Sharing Your Information

We only share your data in two ways:

  • •With other users: Your user name and poll content are visible to the people in the groups you create or join.
  • •With Service Providers: We use trusted partners to help run the app (AWS for storage, Railway for hosting, Twilio for SMS, Google/Firebase for analytics and notifications). These partners only get the data they need to perform their specific job.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties or advertisers.

6. Your Controls & Deletion

You’re in charge. You can:

  • •Choose not to grant contact or photo permissions (though the main features of the app may not work).
  • •Delete your account: You can request to delete your account and all associated data at any time within the app settings or by emailing us.

In some cases we need to comply with legal requirements to store your data which stops us from deleting your information. For example, if we receive a notice from a court asking us to keep a copy of your content. Other reasons we may keep a copy of your data are if we get reports of abuse or other Terms or policy violations, or if your account, content created by you, or content created with other users is flagged by others or our systems for abuse or other Terms or policy violations. Finally, we may also keep certain information in backup for a limited period of time or as required by law.
